Project Supervision

Consulting services for supervision of transport projects are usually based on the FIDIC terms. Accordingly, the supervision Consultant acts as the "Engineer" and is responsible for ensuring that the contract implementation complies with the specified quality, time limit and budget allocation. Scope of services of the "Engineer" includes providing instruction to the Contractor, measuring quantities and verifying quality of completed works, issuing payment certificates, issuing change orders, monitoring project implementation progress, reporting progress to the Client and issuing taking over certificate at the end of contract implementation.
Grontmij | Carl Bro Group started undertaking supervision of overseas transport projects in 1974. Since then we have supervised projects in Africa, Asia, Latin America and Europe. We have supervised all types of roads in every kind of environment, which has enabled us to accumulate an extensive experience of all elements and aspects that have to be managed to ensure the success of a transport project.
With more than 30 year experience in different countries around the world, we are fully aware that the key to successful supervision of a transport project is a well balanced onsite team consisting of expatriate engineers, domestic inspectors, laboratory technicians, surveyors and administrative staff. Coming to Vietnam with that observation in mind, we are always willing to conduct supervision consulting services in association with a good domestic consulting firm. This arrangement facilitates on-the-job training and transfer of knowledge.

High quality supervision of the Engineer shall ultimately result in minimizing maintenance expenditure in the future. That is our way to invisibly contribute our donation to the Road Maintenance Fund of Vietnam.
