Introduction of Demand-Side Management and Energy Efficiency
Project (DSM/EE)
Vietnam has received a
grant of 3.2 million USD from the Global Environment Facility (GEF)
through the World Bank (WB) for the implementation of a Demand-Side
Management and Energy Efficiency Project (DSM/EE)
The Commercial Energy Efficiency Pilot Program (CEEP), a four-year
program commenced in August 2004 and ended by August 2008, is a
component of this project.
In this project, we are the program's key actor in running energy
efficiency services, will identify potential Project Proponents (PPs),
negotiate contracts and in corporation with PPs prepare Feasibility
Study (FS) to implement or supervise EE projects implementation at
PPs facilities. We provide many options in EE activities and help in
testing sustainable business models and mechanism to catalyze a
small and sustainable service market to support energy efficiency
(EE) investments in Vietnam. We are eligible for training and
technical assistance from the program to develop commercial business
services and assist customers (energy end users) in all phases of EE
projects.
